Welcome to Naija Mother Tongue(operated by Naija Mother Tongue (NMT) Ltd). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, student portal, and live mother-language classes. By registering an account or purchasing a plan, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Naija Mother Tongue provides a digital platform connecting students with native speaking instructors for live mother-language education (including Yoruba and Igbo) through live classrooms, learning resources, and community chat channels.

2. Accounts and Verification

To access our portals, you must log in using our One-Time Password (OTP) system sent to your registered email address. You are responsible for ensuring the security of your email account. You agree to provide accurate and complete registration details, including your preferred timezone and audience group (e.g. child or adult program).

3. Subscription Plans and Class Balances

Our services are offered under various paid subscription packages (e.g. monthly, quarterly, biannual, or annual plans) and free trial tracks.

• Each subscription grants a specific number of class credits (e.g. 4 classes for monthly, 12 classes for quarterly).
• Your class balance is tracked as classes_total and decremented as classes_used when you attend classes.
• Credits must be used within the subscription period. Unused classes upon expiration or cancellation do not roll over unless explicitly authorized by administration.

4. Payments and Billing

We process all transactions securely through our payment gateway provider, Paystack.

• Transactions can be initialized in USD or NGN. Dynamic exchange rates are applied based on current database valuations.
• You agree to pay the fees associated with your chosen package. Subscription fees are charged upfront.
• Payment references are recorded in our system as a unique identifier for security validation and anti-fraud checks.

5. Live Class Code of Conduct & Safety

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful learning environment. During live classrooms (Google Meet) and within community chat channels (WhatsApp, etc.), you agree not to:

• Engage in disruptive behavior, harassment, hate speech, or sharing inappropriate materials.
• Share, copy, or distribute live classroom links (Google Meet links) to unregistered third parties. Access to live classrooms is restricted strictly to enrolled students.
• Violate the privacy of instructors or fellow students.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your subscription without refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

Naija Mother Tongue is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted class schedules, internet connection quality of third-party video platforms, or specific fluency outcomes. In no event shall Naija Mother Tongue (NMT) Ltd be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
